Stacie Turner, Velvet Confections Confectioner, loves everything about desserts! She has had a passion for cooking and baking since early childhood. At age 6, what started as curiosity while watching her mom in the kitchen quickly turned into a passion. She began baking long ago by helping her mom prepare Thanksgiving dinners. From there, Stacie's passion for baking followed her throughout her lif

e. During summer breaks while in middle school, Stacie opened a “sweets shop” at her parent's house. She sold all sorts of baked goods and a variety of snacks to neighborhood friends and family. Word spread rapidly and Stacie's house became the hang out, as her friends sat around all day buying and sampling fresh baked goods. It was that type of summer fun that made her realize that desserts are instrumental in bringing everyone together. With an emphasis on carrying forward the traditions of old-fashioned desserts, Velvet Confections by Stacie takes total pride in the fact that all of her confections are created with love and her passion for home-style taste and quality baked-goods made fresh to order.

Sometimes I don't do my best work, especially when I'm distracted, and I missed a crucial step with these cinnamon rolls while distracted and they are not my best work. I'm a perfectionist but everyday isn't a perfect baking day, and that's ok! They taste great but the rise just isn't high enough and I baked them a little too long for my liking. If you're in my local Orlando area, DM me if you want some of these for half price (only $2 each)!

Happy Saturday! I'm trying something new starting Saturday, July 4th! I'll be having a soft launch of my very first Front Porch Bake Sale and will continue having them once or twice per month!
