Stacie Turner, Velvet Confections Confectioner, loves everything about desserts! She has had a passion for cooking and baking since early childhood. At age 6, what started as curiosity while watching her mom in the kitchen quickly turned into a passion. She began baking long ago by helping her mom prepare Thanksgiving dinners. From there, Stacie's passion for baking followed her throughout her life. During summer breaks while in middle school, Stacie opened a “sweets shop” at her parent's house. She sold all sorts of baked goods and a variety of snacks to neighborhood friends and family. Word spread rapidly and Stacie's house became the hang out, as her friends sat around all day buying and sampling fresh baked goods. It was that type of summer fun that made her realize that desserts are instrumental in bringing everyone together. With an emphasis on carrying forward the traditions of old-fashioned desserts, Velvet Confections by Stacie takes total pride in the fact that all of her confections are created with love and her passion for home-style taste and quality baked-goods made fresh to order.

Can you believe the first Saturday of the month is almost here already? Are you ready for my next Front Porch Bake Sale on October 3?

My October sale will be BIGGER, BOLDER, and BETTER!! Why? Because for October only I'm moving it from my front porch to my driveway because it's also my neighborhood's community-wide garage sale (Orlando's largest community garage sale), which means more people coming into the community, so it'll be a bigger bake sale! So get here early!🌞Avalon Park Orlando

Follow the signs throughout the neighborhood and they'll bring you right here!

Y'all!!! It was a sell out day on my front porch! Thanks for stopping by to support and also for all of the birthday hugs and wishes!

And guess what? The local firefighters (5 in all) came to my Front Porch Bake Sale today in their firetruck! It was a great day! The next one will be bigger and better so it will be moved from my front porch to the driveway (my sales are rain or shine so it'll be on the porch if it rains)!
