Great crew, great day!

We laughed and joked all day long while catching a bunch of interesting species — and even hooked into a shark!

On the way back to the marina, we made a quick stop at Robinson Island for a swim and a little cool-off time.

Good people, good fishing, and plenty of laughs. That’s what a day on the water is all about!

We had a fun crew today, and they definitely kept things interesting. They caught several different species of fish and even hooked into a shark!

On the way back to the marina, we made a quick stop at Robinson Island for a swim and a little time to cool off.

After the charter, the crew explored Bamahenge, located right on the property at Barber Marina.

Fishing, swimming, sharks, and a little Bamahenge adventure — that's a pretty good day on the water!

My wife Paula and I took an amazing trip to Cabo San Lucas a while back, and while looking through photos this weekend we decided to share a few memories with y’all.

We went fishing, rode 4-wheelers through the desert and along the Pacific Ocean while watching whales offshore, went sailing, explored the reefs, and ate some of the best food we’ve ever had.

The fishing crew filleted our Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), and we shared most of it with the crew and some of the dock hands. We took the rest to a little restaurant in the harbor where they turned our catch into sushi and sashimi prepared in all kinds of incredible ways. They kept our fish in their cooler, and we came back every day for 3 days to see what new creation they had made for us.

In NASCAR they call it drafting. In fishing we call it “tucking behind another boat and letting them beat themselves to death first” for a smoother ride. 😂

Great sheepshead fishing at the gas rigs in Mobile Bay today. The fishing and weather were tough to start with, but things turned around as the day went on. Good times and plenty of laughs.

We had a pretty incredible experience on the water today. These 2 moms and 2 baby dolphins hung around the boat for about an hour while we were fishing. Every time we caught small croakers and tossed them back, the babies would swim over and eat them.

Once we started catching bigger snapper and quit throwing fish back, the baby dolphins would come right up beside the boat and splash us like they were letting us know they wanted more snacks! I tried getting video of it, but every time I grabbed the camera they would go right under the boat.

Definitely one of those days you never forget with Coastal Alabama Charters.

Nice relaxing ride back to the marina.
