Wedding photos make me so happy.
I only meet about 25% of the couples that I bake for.

Once in a while Iโ€™ll meet a couple if they pickup their cake and occasionally upon delivery Iโ€™ll spy a gorgeous bride in the distance looking like an ethereal gawdess.

Itโ€™s also quite difficult getting photos back for various reasons but when I do it truly feels like a gift.

I was ecstatic to see these photos as they came across my feed and Dan was kind enough to share these with me.

These photos are stunning and so is this beautiful couple and Iโ€™ll give you one try to guess which photo is my favorite.

This beauty went out last month to celebrate the arrival of a very special little one.

What can I say about Lauren? Well first off sheโ€™s so fabulous that I needed two cakes to wish her the bestest birthday ever.
Lauren is immensely talented and her cakes always put a smile on my face. Sheโ€™s a lovely human who I know will always have my back if I need it. Iโ€™m thrilled to be a part of her virtual birthday party because how else are you supposed to celebrate your favorite cake babes.

Sheโ€™s a bit on the simpler side but still quite elegant and matched the wedding vibes perfectly.

I didnโ€™t get the chance to meet Charlotte but she was the sweetest bride and I wish her and her new hubby the best life.

Story time:
the wedding cake I posted yesterday was a large 3 tiered cake with 6, 8 and 10โ€ cake tiers with fruit filling.

This wedding was at the end of September and took place at Camp Parsons out on the Hood Canal.

I had never been here and had no idea what the property looked liked, I just knew we needed to find the dining hall.
We encountered a few, nothing to worry about inclining hills.
Then as we got to the top of one of them we realized there was a huge drop.
Cake husband pulled over so I could think about it, then he suggested I drop the backseat and sit there so I could keep an eye on the box.
I instead turned so I was practically in the trunk with my legs straddling the box and as we drove downwards I was able to lift the box about 3-4โ€ from the bottom.

Was this 3โ€ enough to cause any kind of real damage to the cake?
I donโ€™t know. Maybe not, because the cake was very cold and in an insulated box.
But my dedication to get this cake to its destination unscathed is unmatched.
I was not about to risk it all in the last 2 minutes of arrival.

When we got to the bottom I had a great laugh about it but the panic was so real.

The cake made it down safely and everyone loved it.

Anyway, that was the first time Iโ€™ve ever hung out in the trunk with one of your wedding cakes and it probably wonโ€™t be the last ๐Ÿ˜

Am I not the luckiest baker? I had not one but two special brides ask for ladybugs, butterflies and spiders on their wedding cakes, and both got married on the same day.

I mean, why not have your wedding cake be an extension of the magical beings you truly are.

This extra grand beauty featuring the Olympic Mountains, Mt Rainier, both buttercream and fresh seasonal florals went out at the end of September to celebrate Alice and Karlโ€™s union.

I had a hard time taking photos of this babe so these shots does not quite do this cake justice.

Thank you Cakebon for the 12โ€ gold drums, it was a perfect addition to these bold colors.

I am a 44 year old breast cancer survivor who stopped being embarrassed after having to take my shirt off who knows how many times in front of who knows how many people.
There arenโ€™t too many things that embarrass me anymore.
In fact, when I re-watched this video and realized how loud my terrible singing was all I could do was laugh and laugh.

My kid Finn is the biggest Finn Wolfhard fan. Their dad preordered the vinyl over the summer and we have been listening to it nonstop so of course we went to the concert.

Anyway, youโ€™ve got to expect that I would have a favorite song by now so when Maggie came on I was ecstatic.

I should tell you we were packed in like sardines I was surrounded by pre-teen and teenage girls with their high octave screams and it was amazing.
My favorite part of the night was watching the joy on my kidโ€™s face.

Back to the story of my terrible singing.
Maggie is my favorite song from the album, maybe itโ€™s the sort of country wailing or maybe itโ€™s because I have a tree named Maggie or a combo of both.

So yes, I belted out the lyrics to Maggie in my most awful singing to date and had the time of my life. And no my kid was not embarrassed.
