Weather concerns force Kumquat Festival to be rescheduled
Due to high winds forecasted for tomorrow and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees, the 29th Annual Kumquat Festival will be postponed. A new event will be rescheduled to Sunday, March 8.
The festival was originally scheduled to take place in historic downtown Dade City and remains one of Pasco County’s most anticipated annual traditions. Festival organizers are working closely with the City of Dade City, public safety officials, and event partners to secure a new date that will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Brought to the community by AdventHealth, Florida Sports Coast, the City of Dade City, and dozens of valued sponsors, the Kumquat Festival typically welcomes more than 40,000 attendees from across Tampa Bay and beyond for a full day of family-friendly fun, shopping, and entertainment.
The festival celebrates the “little gold gem of the citrus industry” and, in partnership with Kumquat Growers Inc., highlights the many advantages of this versatile, tasty, and healthy fruit. Historic Downtown Dade City transforms into a vibrant arts and crafts destination featuring local businesses, specialty vendors, kumquat-inspired treats, a children’s activity area, classic car show, craft kumquat beer and wine, and activities for all ages.
