Still CLOSED…

and the BS fighting with nature continues…

Fence installation got moved up so we are rushing to clear trees and obstacles in the way… I cut down 2 big trees with the chainsaw on the opposite side of the yard that we didn’t think had any bees 🐝 and 💥 BOOM . A new swarm attacked and I was stung 4 times 😬🤬

Luckily I had super thick socks and pants on and ran away quickly… so far I am ok with no major reaction 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤬🤬🤬🤬🐝🐝🐝🐝

A service is coming tomorrow to inspect entire yard and remove the nests 🪹 until then we are NOT attempting any more work.

Man do I miss cooking 🧑‍🍳

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! We’re still closed to the public but cooking up a feast for some friends and family this weekend..

Try Mississippi drip shredded pork sammiches!

This pork loin is like $2 a LB at ALDI and it could not be simpler to make! Just slather them with your favorite meat rub, sear in olive oil then place in crockpot with beef broth , pepperoncinis , Italian seasoning, and garlic 🧄 and cook all day until they are ready to shred! There are a TON of recipes online so you can customize your spices.

We layer them on French rolls with sliced cheese and Giardienere.. they are so tender and bursting with flavor .

Were also making dill pickle pasta salad, cucumber salad, bacon ranch cream cheese balls, spinach dip, mini buffalo chicken sammiches, taco roll ups and pretzel buns with cheese dip.

What is every one else feasting on this weekend?????

The tornado 🌪️ cleanup is still ongoing at Cora’s Cafe…. New problems continue to arise daily!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Insurance finally came out last week and gave us the go ahead to replace the 6 foot fencing that surrounds our property and repair holes in roofs….
but we had to clear out all of the poison ivy and overgrown brush (over 215 feet of it ) in order for them to remove the fence at which point we also encountered swarms of stinging bees!! 🐝 🐝 🐝

After lots of Benadryl and healing from poison ivy and bee stings we finally have a service scheduled to come professionally removed the swarms so we can continue to clear overgrown brush and eventually replace the fencing 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Meanwhile enjoy this video I had to send around to pest companies trying to give an idea of how big our 🐝problem is….

Hi everyone!!

We are still CLOSED due to storm damage . We lost hundreds of dollars of food supplies in the catering fridges from the storm because we did not have a generator …  and up until a couple days ago, we couldn’t even get a generator because everything was on backorder!! And these storms just keep coming 🤦🏻‍♀️

WE FINALLY GOT A GENERATOR 🙌

With the exception of a few private catering orders ….we are not going to resume weekly meals until all of the storm damage is repaired.  We’re not allowed to fix anything until the insurance adjusters come out and assess damage which is scheduled for August 24th. 

We are hoping to be back up and running early September with some yummy back to school family meals!!!Thank you to everyone for the continued support and stay tuned.
