Today is Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”), the day we commemorate the effective end of slavery in the United States.
Why did I post the Progress Pride Flag alongside it?
Because the flag represents a continuing commitment to the idea that all people are welcome, and deserving of dignity. It reflects our ongoing effort to build a more compassionate and inclusive society, rooted in love, understanding, and freedom rather than division, exclusion, or oppression.
