Our wine program has been a focal point of the guest experience we envision since day one.

Both our food menu, and wine list are culminated by our team’s combined 40+ years in food and beverage experience— designed with intention, and serving as a journey into our unique, combined perspectives.
Notch 8 Grille’s steak and seafood forward dinner menu has allowed us the pleasure of crafting a wine list that is a fit companion, as well as independently a unique discovery of the culture and history of wine that any enthusiast will delight in.

Behind the scenes our team is diligent with regard to wine service, with a cutting edge storage technique, featuring temperature control, stable humidity to preserve corks and labels, a vibration-free environment for peaceful aging, complete darkness to protect aromas, and controlled air circulation for a healthy environment. With the use of our specialty wine cabinet and “Cru du Vin”, selections are kept fresh with inert gas, for a perfect pour in every glass.

"We had a fantastic experience at Notch 8 Grille in Northampton. We went in on a Wednesday evening and, luckily, arrived during happy hour — which we didn’t even know they had. Most of their appetizers were half price at that time, which was such a great surprise.
The appetizers all sounded delicious, and it was honestly hard to decide between the crab cake, mussels, and oysters Rockefeller. Then we were told about their Wednesday night prime rib special, and that made the decision even harder.
The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus was such a nice touch — even better knowing the asparagus came from the owner’s garden. We finished with the flourless chocolate torte, which was absolutely decadent.
The service really stood out, too. The bartender gave great service and was very personable, which made us feel welcome right away. The manager/hostess, Melissa, was so friendly and always smiling. She came over to make sure everything was to our liking, which we really appreciated.
Notch 8 Grille has a great atmosphere, excellent food, and a happy hour that is absolutely worth knowing about. We will definitely be back."
