Well, this happened fast. I just got booked to feature tomorrow night at Home of the Offended Comedy Showcase at Bar 17 in Cleveland.

I’m especially excited that they put a PARENTAL ADVISORY: EXPLICIT CONTENT warning on the flyer for a guy whose comedy is mostly about being a dad and people giving their kids stupid names.

Finally, the street cred I deserve.

Come out Saturday night! Show starts at 7 PM. I’ll be the featured comic doing my best to justify that warning label without actually saying anything that would justify that warning label.

“Face time” can be an important part of breaking into the local comedy scene, but there’s a big difference between getting noticed and actually getting on stage. Networking, persistence and being seen can help comedians - but none of it replaces what really matters: being funny and ready when the opportunity comes.
