We’re looking for a few more people to roll up a sleeve with us.

The American Red Cross has declared only the second national blood crisis in its history. Blood donations have fallen to a four-year summer low, and a few additional donors at each blood drive could help stabilize the national blood supply.

Join us:
📅 Monday, August 24
⏰ 1:00–6:00 p.m.
📍 LGBT Life Center Community Room
20 Settlers Landing Road, Hampton

Everyone who comes to give blood in August will receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card by email from the American Red Cross.*

Appointments are encouraged. Visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code LGBTLife to schedule yours.

If you’re eligible and have been thinking about donating, this is a moment when showing up really matters.

🍽️ Restaurant owners and managers: Who’s helping fill your tables on Tuesday, September 29?

Thousands of restaurants across Hampton Roads will be open that night. Dining Out For Life restaurants have something different: a community intentionally choosing to dine with them.

You show up for our community by donating 33% or more of sales to support HIV care, prevention, LGBTQ+ health, housing, food programs, and other essential services at LGBT Life Center.

🔗 Sign Up: DiningOutForLife.com/757

And we show up for you.

We promote participating restaurants through paid advertising, email, social media, media outreach, community partners, and our ambassador network. Our ambassadors bring their own networks with them and help turn September 29 into a night when people aren't just deciding to eat out. They're deciding to eat with you.

Because when your tables are full, our mission and community move forward.

You have a seat at the table. Join us.

Stable housing changes everything. It affects whether someone can stay healthy, take medication, keep a job, care for family, and plan for the future.

On July 9, LGBT Life Center joined the Virginia Housing Alliance and advocates from across the Commonwealth for the National Alliance to End Homelessness’ Capitol Hill Day. Together, we urged Congress to protect federal funding for homelessness services and prevent proposed HUD changes from cutting people off from housing support.

The group met with staff representing 10 members of Congress, including both of Virginia’s senators.
For LGBTQ+ people, people living with HIV, and everyone facing housing instability, access to a safe and stable home matters. We’re proud to bring the needs of Hampton Roads into these conversations and stand alongside people working for fair access to housing across Virginia.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Healthcare should feel safe, respectful, kind, and free from judgment.

For National Health Center Week, we’re sharing a few words from people who have trusted LGBT Life Center with their care. Their reviews speak to what matters most: being listened to, being treated well, and getting the care and support you need without having to hide who you are.

From primary care, HIV and STI testing, and PrEP to counseling, pharmacy services, food access, and more, we’re here with care that sees all of you.

To everyone who has trusted us, recommended us, or shared kind words about our team: thank you. 💛

🍽️ SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, September 29, 2026

Everyone has a seat at the table!

This year, showing up matters more than ever.

Restaurants are showing up for the community.
The community is showing up for restaurants.
Diners are showing up for LGBTQ+ and HIV services.

On September 29, a meal becomes something bigger. When you dine at a participating restaurant, a portion of your bill supports HIV care and prevention, LGBTQ+ health, housing, food programs, and other essential services at LGBT Life Center.

So mark your calendar, invite your people, and get ready to fill a table.
Participating restaurants added daily. See a full list here: diningoutforlife.com/757.

Own or manage a restaurant? You compete for diners every night. On Dining Out For Life night, we work to fill your tables. Message us to participate or learn more.

Dine Out. Give Back. End HIV.

Aaron has met someone who feels almost too good to be true. But there is something he has not shared yet: he has been living with HIV for 10 years.

After hearing the man he is dating make stigmatizing comments about people with HIV, Aaron worries that disclosing his status could cost him the relationship. With support from a friend, he begins making a plan to challenge the stigma, share the facts, and have the conversation when he is ready.

Facing his health felt impossible. Talking openly about his HIV status felt even harder. But finding the right support changed everything.

Frank’s story reminds us that an HIV diagnosis does not define your future. With care, treatment, and people in your corner, you can live fully and freely.

It’s official: LGBT Life Center has purchased the Robin Hood Road building we have called home since 2018. 🏢💛

Owning this 42,000-square-foot building gives us greater long-term stability and room to expand healthcare, behavioral health, pharmacy, housing, and other services for LGBTQ+ people and people affected by HIV throughout Hampton Roads.

We are not changing everything overnight. This will be a thoughtful, phased process shaped by community needs and our vision for the future. What does not change is our commitment to creating a place where people feel welcome, valued, and able to access the services they need.

Thank you to WAVY TV 10 for sharing this exciting next chapter. You'll be hearing more from us about what's ahead soon!
