Guten tag! A year ago I embarked on a nostalgic journey honoring the foods and flavors of Germany. In that year, I have seen so many wonderful faces everywhere I have visited! And so many of those folks have spent time in Germany! I served people who had lived in Ausburg Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Weisbaden, Munich, Stuttgart, Rostock, Lubeck and many more! I’ve served them all delicious things I’ve made from scratch and by hand: bratwurst, frankfurters, doner kebab, leberkase, pretzels (and obatzda!), and so many schnitzels! I sincerely hope that everybody has enjoyed all of it! I have enjoyed serving all of you and hearing your German origin stories!
Unfortunately, I have made the difficult decision to bring this story to a close. After much consideration, I can’t find a way to move the business forward while still maintaining the high quality, hand-crafted, scratch-made product I serve at an affordable price.
Thank you to everybody who made all of this possible, all of the venues that hosted us, and the great folks who came out to see us and enjoyed our food! We will miss seeing you at our window but we will always remember your delight at seeing German food in the 417!
