As Ganesh Chaturthi is approaching, it is the perfect time to reflect on how we bring festivities into our homes. While we celebrate with devotion and joy, let us also consider the environmental impact of our choices, especially when it comes to the idols of Bappa we worship and how they return to nature.

Choosing eco-friendly, clay-based idols of Bappa ensures our traditions remain truly compassionate, free from toxic chemicals that harm water bodies and aquatic life. Let us ensure our devotion reflects our compassion, keeping our rituals as pure as the blessings we seek.

The choice is yours: Will Bappa want you to destroy the planet he made? 🌏

Celebrate responsibly and join the journey toward soulful living. Share your commitment to a cruelty-free and eco-conscious celebration below! 🌱✨

It’s time everyone understands the madness of using/exploiting Animals.

This is one of those statistics that sounds like vegan propaganda until you look at where it comes from.

Around 80% of the world’s agricultural land is used for livestock grazing or growing crops to feed them.

And what do we get back?

Only about 17–18% of the world’s food calories come from animal products.

That enormous imbalance is one reason the land-use argument for eating more plants is so powerful.

There is important context: much of the land used by livestock is pasture or rangeland, and not all of it could simply be converted into fields growing food for humans.

But it doesn’t have to be. Land no longer needed for grazing can, in many places, be returned to forests, grasslands and other natural ecosystems.

In fact, the landmark 2018 analysis by researchers Joseph Poore and Thomas Nemecek estimated that a global shift away from animal products could reduce agricultural land use by roughly 75% while still feeding the world.

That doesn't mean every person has to become vegan tomorrow.

But when most of our agricultural land is devoted to producing a relatively small share of our calories, it's difficult to argue that the way we currently produce animal food is an efficient use of the planet.

The old tale of supply and demand is simple: if you demand, they supply.

The choice is ultimately ours. Does another living being, who deserves to live in peace in their natural habitat, should to be skinned alive?

You have the power to choose compassion. Opt for cruelty-free, plant-based materials and refuse exotic skins.

Educate yourself further: read more about why they are skinned alive and how they are captured and treated before being killed.

I am continually inspired by the dedication of the A Compassionate World community. This weekend’s fundraiser was a beautiful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together to advocate for a kinder, sustainable world.💚

From incredible vegan food to highlighting cruelty-free fashion alternatives, and raising funds for animal welfare, it was a perfect day of advocacy and community building. 🤗🐾

A massive thank you to our incredible hosts, Girija and Ravi Rao, for stepping up to support our mission and bring the community together. Grateful to the local businesses Amia Bakery and Petal and Spices for donating dessert. 🙏

A Compassionate World Begins With You! 🌏💙

Delicious Creamy Peri-Peri Pasta 😋

Indo-Italian Inventions ✨️

Ingredients:
* ½ cup diced onion
* 1 tbsp minced garlic
* 1 cup mixed bell peppers, diced
* ½ cup sweet corn
* 1 cup plant-based pasta of your choice
* 1 tbsp vegan butter or olive oil
* 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
* 300ml plant-based milk, like oat milk
* 2 tbsp nutritional yeast or vegan cheese

For Peri-Peri Masala:
* 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
* 1 tsp red chili flakes
* ½ tsp sugar
* 1 tbsp garlic powder
* 1 tbsp onion powder
* 1 tsp ginger powder
* 1 tbsp fresh oregano (or 1 tsp if using dry)
* ½ tsp black pepper powder
* 1 tbsp mixed herbs
* 1 tsp black salt
* ½ to 1 teaspoon mango powder (amchur)
* Salt to taste (approximately 1 tsp)
Mix all these ingredients together thoroughly with 1-2 tbsp water.

Instructions:
* Heat oil in a pan, and sauté the diced onion, minced garlic, bell peppers, and sweet corn on high heat till done. Set aside.
* Boil 1 liter of water with a tablespoon of salt and oil. Cook your pasta for 7 to 8 minutes or until al dente, then drain and set aside.
* In a separate pan, melt the vegan butter and add the flour. Cook for a few seconds, then slowly whisk in the plant-based milk. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
* Mix the Peri-Peri masala with a little water to make a paste, and stir it into the white sauce.
* Add the sautéed vegetables and nutritional yeast (or cheese) to the creamy sauce, stirring well.
* Finally, fold in the cooked pasta and ensure everything is well combined and heated through before serving.

Enjoy your delicious, creamy, cheesy pasta! 😍
