Joe Coffee Company

Joe Coffee Company Neighborhood cafés serving specialty coffee across NYC, plus catering for your next event.

Our story began in 2003 at the corner of Waverly and Gay with a simple vision: brew high quality, delicious coffee and serve it with warm hospitality. That first café in Greenwich Village grew into more than 20 locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, along with our own roastery in Long Island City. Today, Joe Coffee remains focused on quality coffee and welcoming spaces while also suppor

ting partners through wholesale coffee programs, tech services, and custom catering. From neighborhood cafés to offices and events, we are proud to be New York’s hometown specialty coffee company.

Growing up in Japan, her family kept two bottles of iced coffee in the fridge. No sugar. And sugar.

Her mom’s and her dad’s. She always reached for the sweet one.

Now she’s managing two of our busiest cafes, invented the Yuzu Elderflower Spritz and the Strawberry Basil, and is already dreaming up her own place in Jersey City.

is an actor, a singer, and a producer. A triple threat — so naturally, one layer wasn’t going to cut it.

He came to us with an idea for a summer drink built around intentional ingredients. Peach. Turmeric. Something worth putting on the menu. What followed was a lot of sampling, a lot of iterations, and eventually this: the Triple Threat Latte — peach, espresso, and lemon turmeric cold foam. Available now at every Joe cafe.

Come get one while they’re fresh. 🍑🍋

This one started with a cupping.

Jordan Fisher came into our Park Ave Training Lab, sat down with our roasters, and worked through coffees until he found the right one. The result is Call Time - a limited-release medium roast with notes of cocoa, spice, and caramel. And Joe Coffee's first-ever coffee tin.

A lot of the people who make Joe what it is - behind the bar, behind the scenes - are artists themselves. Singers, actors, musicians, makers. That's New York. This one's for all of them.

$1 from every tin supports Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS— providing meals, medication, health care, and emergency assistance to people across the theater community and beyond. yes

Call Time is sourced from El Guayacán Smallholder Farmers in San Ignacio, Cajamarca, Peru - 300 growers in the northern highlands, where the yellow guayacán trees the coffee is named after shade the plants growing beneath them.

NYC in the summer is a feeling nobody can quite describe, so we stopped trying to describe it and just made a coffee instead.

Lincoln Center is back. A summer coffee made in partnership with ’s Summer for the City — with artwork on the bag designed by students in the Young Artist Pipeline program.

Caramel, honey, clementine. Best on ice. ☀️

Now available online and in cafes. Link in bio.

Meet El Guayacán, a collective of around 300 smallholder farmers growing coffee in the highlands of San Ignacio, Peru.

Each family tends just a few hectares, processing their harvest by hand on their own farms. Depulping, fermenting, washing, and drying the coffee that ends up in every bag of Benchmark.

We’re proud to support this community through ’s PECA program, which invests in farmer education and long-term sustainability at origin.

04/30/2026

After nearly 23 years of building Joe with all of you, this feels like a big and meaningful moment. I’m writing with the exciting news that Lee Harrison is stepping into the role of CEO.

Lee started as a barista on opening day at our second cafe at 9 E. 13th Street, which also happened to be his 18th birthday, and has spent over 20 years growing with Joe. He’s worked across cafes, roasting, training, and operations, most recently as COO, helping shape this place in ways that are hard to put into words.

If you’ve been part of Joe at any point, there’s a good chance you’ve felt his impact. He leads with care, honesty, and a real understanding of what this place means to people.

I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be stepping into the role of Head of Growth, focused on what’s next, and I’ll be right alongside Lee as we move forward.

Joe has always been about people and the relationships we build together. That continues.

We’re both really excited for this next chapter.
