We are pleased to this amazing project by Compañía Nacional de Danza (Spanish National Dance Company) under director Joaquín de Luz, who trained with Víctor Ullate, and was a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.
In this project, De Luz challenges his dancers to leave their comfort zone as classical ballet dancers and to follow and feel the music by master guitar player Rafael Andújar.
In the video, we can watch the class, and see how Joaquín de Luz develops his idea of training the “ear of dancers” as a part of their body to dance so the public will be able to see the “musical notes” denoting the musical sound while they watch the dancers on stage.
