Friday night gig was a sweet one! I got to make beautiful tasty food for a group of women that talked about how much they loved each other the whole time.
❤️Doesn’t really get better than that❤️

Their menu started with Muhammara and Grilled Halloumi with 🥒 pickles, olives 🫒 , pita, and crudite, followed by Roasted Beets on honey🍯 labneh topped with Pistachio 🍃Pesto 🍃and mint. There was then a pile of Crispy Potato and Chicken Schnitzel with slaw, hot honey harissa and tzatziki for dipping (not pictured unfortunately), ending with brownies and 🍨ice cream 🍨with a tahini syrup swirl ✨

I love spring for so many reasons, one being 🦞crawfish!🦞 This is an etouffee topped with corn maque choux for a group from out of town. As they were eating, they asked me what etouffee meant, and I’ll be honest, I had to look it up! Im a bad cajun, and never ashamed to admit it! Sometimes you grow up with things and intrinsically know but don’t technically know, ya know? So anyway, if you’re a bad Cajun like me, or aren’t from here, etouffee comes from the verb suffocated, etouffer, so basically to smother. The more ya know 🙃
