Kim and Brenda (that's me!) have been best friends since our mothers met when Kim was 8 and I was 6. We went to Sunday School together, attended the same schools (although in different grades), signed up for community college together... we were inseparable. Then came adulthood with marriages, moves, college... things that, naturally, put physical distance between you. However, our friendship survived and, all these years later, we are once again the "dynamic duo": Kim, a retired high school English teacher; me, a permanently disabled former legal assistant... both of us needing a source of additional income. Growing up in New Orleans, we loved summertime... especially when the snowball stands began to open for "snowball season". So, when Kim and I began discussing ways to generate additional income, we kept coming back to snowballs... and that is how New Orleans Ladies Snowballs came to be. Due to my physical disability, Kim does the lion's share of the physical work, while I handle finances, bookings, etc. A little bit about what we do:
New Orleans Ladies Snowballs doesn't serve your average snowball. We serve authentic New Orleans-style shaved ice snowballs flavored in your choice of our hand-made syrups, created using ingredients shipped from... you guessed it... New Orleans. Presently, we have two regularly scheduled gigs: We are at the Dollar General parking lot on Cherry Street, Fridays from 2PM to 4:30PM and at the Panama City Farmers Market in Historic Downtown Panama City, Saturdays from 8AM to 1PM. In our extra time, we would be delighted to come to your business/school/neighborhood! We are available for additional bookings, as well as private events.
