Went into The Retro Cafe yesterday for breakfast and was so disappointed, especially for the crew that worked so hard to re do this. The hostess station was a mess the menus were scattered. The waitress staff didn’t seem concerned. They did, however talk about how Robert Irvine didn’t take the time to talk with them, take pictures with them or sign autographs. They were talking, in front of the customers, about how the stuff was unorganized in the back and not being able to find anything. The flowers were half dead on the counters and the rug....oh the rug that greets customers from the side parking lot!!!!! I know that you will say it is easy for me to say because I am not the waitress but it isn’t rocket science either. It takes a bit of commitment. A lot of people worked very hard to give this place a second chancel! Please don’t fail them.
Please, please, please.... train your staff a bit better, clean the restaurant a bit better.... especially the carpet by the side door.... teach your staff to not discuss restaurant problems in front of customers. Our waitress was exactly unfriendly but disconnected.
Went to the diner this morning, they were pretty busy. The problem the tv show does for places, they come in change a bunch of meals, then leaves. The people struggle and the place closes. The kitchen was struggling as it took way too long for breakfast with the reduced menu. 2 eggs looked like 1 at best, fried potatoes were a mix of under cooked to over cooked. Skillets now only have ham in them. I'll give the employees a couple of months and give it another try. It's very early after the shakeup from the show. But they need to get organized to be around in a few months.
Good good and service is great.
Stop in for brunch. It's my favorite place to eat.
wish I knew when u guys where having pan fried Chicken Dinner for special ??
So much for so little homemade friendly i love this place!!
