Aug 5th Surgery update! Orders will be closed until Sept 1! I had surgery yesterday. I now have 2 stents that need removed in a week or so. I’ll find out Monday when my 2nd surgery date is. Just giving myself time to recover. One stone didn’t cooperate. That’s why I have 2 stents. I think it is staying with me for a while unless it passes with this other stent. He couldn’t get to it. Complicated story. The ones that were causing me severe pain are gone. Hallelujah!

I made a good decision by switching Drs and hospitals. Better care and sooner care. I could not wait any longer the pain was intolerable.

I apologize for having to do this!

A little health Update on this July 30-after several trips to the ER and being in Westmoreland hospital for kidney stones, I decided to go to a UPMC urologist today to get another opinion. I just couldn’t wait until mid August to have surgery to remove the stones. That was their next available date to put me on the schedule. Any of you that have had any experience with kidney stones knows that you don’t want to wait that long. No offense to the Drs…it was the waiting and the pain that bothered me and I need to get my life back.

I called UPMC yesterday and they fit me in today. The Dr was very thorough and he put me on the schedule for next Tuesday at UPMC Somerset to take all 3 stones and the stent out. I will have 2 more stents after the surgery for a few days. I didn’t know there were 3 until he showed them to me on the scans. Im glad I didn’t wait!!

I hope to be better in a few weeks so that I can get back to making princess cakes for those of you that want one.

Thank you to everybody who recommends me to others for a cake. These recommendations & very nice compliments make me want to get back to doing what I love to do which is making cakes for you.

This hasn’t been easy and was very unexpected. Thanks for your patience, your support and for understanding.

Hi! I just want to touch base with all of my customers and to those who’ve called recently. As some of you know I was in the hospital for kidney stones. I had surgery to see if it will help to get the stones to move down. I was at the hospital today for some tests. I’ll see the surgeon tomorrow and go from there. I don’t want to take too many orders and then have to cancel. I appreciate everyone that has reached out with the kindest words and prayers. It means a lot. ❤️ FYI-I am fulfilling the orders that I had prior to this happening unless an emergency would occur. 🙏

SUNDAY JULY 19-Last day for the Kecksburg UFO festival! It’s been crazy busy. So many have showed up! Our ice cream was pretty much non stop the last 2 days. Up until the storms rolled in and then it got busy again after. We didn’t get hit like other places did. We were blessed! Those tents can be dangerous when it’s windy.

The ICE CREAM winners were Banana Pudding, cookies and cream, Whitehouse cherry and of course the popular blue one Little Blue Panda. I didn’t expect to sell all the White House Cherry. That was a surprise! I had some myself, I can see why it went so fast.

Today we are putting out the delicious midnight caramel River where the caramel runs through it like a river, peanut butter caramel cookie dough, cookies and cream, strawberry cheesecake, cotton candy and more. We put dark chocolate raspberry truffle in the case yesterday and people said it was heaven. We’ll have more today along with Root Beer Floats.

We’re bringing more PEPPERONI ROLLS today! Take one home, heat it up or have it for lunch tomorrow or I’ll heat it up for you today unless you like it cold as some do.

FYI some were buying funnel cake and putting our ice cream on top of it. It had delicious apple filling too.

Lots going on at the Kecksburg UFO festival Today Saturday July 18. The Parade and fireworks are scheduled for today. Lots of vendors and delicious food. Main Street Scoops, Princess Cakes & Pepperoni Rolls will be set up offering pepperoni rolls, hand dipped Ice cream and root beer floats.

FYI Sunday 7/12/26 If anyone has been trying to call to order and you haven’t gotten a call back it’s because I’ve been a little under the weather. I am in the hospital due to kidney stones. First time for me! I had a stent put in today. Not sure how long this process is going to take or how long it will take for the one stone to move down to the point to where they can dissolve them. I’ll have to go back to get the stent removed as well. I’ll keep everyone updated. Sorry for not being able to take any orders. I don’t want to commit myself and then not be able to full fill them. I know the cakes are for special occasions and I don’t want to put a damper on that occasion. ❤️ 🙏

Here is the Kecksburg’s UFO Festival list of events for anyone thats interested. Please share if you’d like. We will be a vendor again this year. I believe it’s our 3rd year. Thank you to Ron for having us and to all of the fireman and other volunteers that help to put this fun event together. They do a great job and get a good turnout. The fireworks are amazing too. There’s also a parade. The festival is on July 17,18,19!

I was honored to be asked to make a Princess Smash Cake yesterday on the 4th of July and on America’s 250th anniversary for Lance’s grandson’s 1st birthday celebration and also a 1/4 Sheet cake for Lance and his other grandson Jordan’s birthday.

I don’t normally do smash cakes but every now and then I make an exception.

To do a baby’s first year birthday smash cake is an amazing feeling. It’s a photo that will and should last their whole lifetime in their baby book.

We had a huge crowd! For some, it was the first time they ever had a princess cake or even heard of one.

We also celebrated Lance’s birthday as we do every year for the 4th and now his 2 grandson’s as well. We all sang and included all 3 names in the song. It was kind of funny!

We had plans to do it outside, but the rain ruined that plan, so we all crammed inside.

Our little Sutton took it all very well considering the fact that we were all so loud standing in front of him singing happy birthday. He definitely wasn’t sure what to do with the cake at first but after he realized it was all smiles and a bit messy.

Thank you Trasera Lynn for asking me to make his cake. I will always remember this moment.

Thank you to our wonderful customer’s too! I always think of all of you and wonder how you are enjoying your product that you ordered from us.

I made it through the last few days! It was crazy busy with orders. I had a good many cookies to do as well. 100 cannolis and 17 dozen cookies along with some princess cakes and pepperoni roll trays. I even made a chocolate cake with whipped icing for a retirement.
