Last nite We were inducted into the Wisconsin BBQ Wall of Flame . Thanks to Chef Jeffrey Igel and all those people who put this deal together . I am humbled .
Altho it has my name on it it was a group of people who all worked their tails off to accomplish the things we did . This belongs to all of us .
Our first partner in the competition game was Jack Frost , he had come over to the house to look at a smoker that I had built and twisted my arm (🙄) to go take a walk around a competition in Princeton WI. We did and decided we should try it the next year . Who could have known where this adventure would take us .Jack wasnt always at the comps but most importantly he was a master at getting sponsorship .
Later in The game my Brother Pate Cossman started coming and when he wasn't competing on his own was an important part of our team .
Our wife's and significant others all deserve their place as well . Beth,and April were part of this too .Brenda who had to put up with all those rough rides home when I didn't cook well , or had to drive home when I was too tired . She cleaned up a lot of big messes while we cooked . She probably ate more crappy practice bbq then any sane person should . She is my rock .
Out of our group 3 food trailers evolved all damn good eating BBQ .
A lot of great folks were involved in our adventures from finally winning Poor Q to 2 top ten calls at The Jack Daniels World Championships, 8th Place overall in the American Royal Invitational and Winning Brisket at The Sam's Club National Championship Finals .
I humbly thank each and everyone of you all .
