🚨 SMALL-BUSINESS SCAMMER ALERT 🚨

Y’all, please be careful when accepting online orders! These scammers are requesting full menus, prices, pictures, dates, flavors, fillings—and probably the recipe too—just to turn around and start acting suspicious when it’s time to pay. 😭😂

At this point, the scammers are placing more imaginary orders than my real customers! Sir, is this a birthday party or a criminal investigation? 🤨🎂

Fellow bakers and small-business owners: What safe system are y’all using to accept orders? An order form, invoices, a website, or something else? With the number of fake inquiries going around, I’m considering requiring everyone to complete an official order form before moving forward.

Please remember:

🚫 Don’t accept checks from strangers
🚫 Don’t refund “accidental” overpayments
🚫 Don’t send money to their driver, decorator, or delivery person
🚫 Don’t consider an order booked until the deposit clears
🚫 Never share verification codes or banking information
