Residents of the Greater Big Bend Area were blown away by the exciting news announced today on local radio station KBND. Big Bend City will be getting it's very own Data Center! This is the brainchild of the Community-Oriented Redevelopment Network City Of Big Bend (CORNCOBB). The data center will be built "on the cheap", since funding is hard to come by and grain prices are low. It will be known as the Affordable Chippewa Data Center, or "AC/DC". The name is appropriate, as it will be located along Chippewa County Road 9, the "Highway to Hell". Since big fancy new servers are too expensive, the data center will use old refurbished Dell desktop computers running Windows 95. In charge of the data center will be local whiz kid Bjorn Bjornson, alumni of the Norwegian Institute of Technology and recently expelled from the Milan School of Diesel Repair and Technology. There will be a planning meeting open to the public next week where citizens can voice their support and donate old computer crap. Let's all pull together to make AC/DC the best little data center in western Minnesota! To those about to compute - we salute you!

As they say, "All good things must come to an end". The owners of the Big Bend Supper Club are moving out of the area. They will be hosting a real estate open house on Sunday, May3rd, from 1 - 4 pm. So pack up the baby, grab the old lady and come on out to Big Bend! There will be free beer to all parties that write out a purchase agreement!
