It’s been a minute. Been busy and when we’re not, we’re enjoying time with the family and the kitties. Photos of cookies, including the new macadamia white chocolate, and bonus photo of our cute cat Princess.

This month we are honoring Aaron Ullom who sacrificed his life in Afghanistan. Aaron is the son of Kevin and Debbie Ullom, who own and operate Aaron's Gifts from Home in the Midland Mall.

Kevin and Debbie accept donations and make goodie boxes that they ship to service members overseas. They accept monetary donations as well as snacks, food and supplies that service members need and rely on.

Aaron's Gifts from Home is also one of the non profits being highlighted in Center Court by Light The World Great Lakes Bay. You will be able to donate directly to Aaron's Gift from Home by visiting the stage set up by Santa Land in center court.

Thank you for your service Aaron. You will forever be remembered.

Calling all veterans! First 50 vets will receive a FREE COOKIE today for Veterans Day.

We also hold veterans group each Sunday from 1700-1800 in front of the shop. Sometimes just being with others who understand can help you in ways you wouldn't expect. 🇺🇸

We are honoring Cpl Kyle Whisler this month at Sergeant Scoops.

Kyle enlisted in the USMC after graduation and served in Kuwait and Iraq. He lost his battle with PTSD after returning home. His sister Ashley runs the Starbucks Cafe in Barnes and Noble in the mall and Beccah and I are lucky to know her and to call her our friend. We learned about Kyle and wanted to honor him.
