La Española

La Española You say "yummy", we say de rechupete! We're the oldest Spanish olive oil brand, founded in 1840. “La Española” is Acesur’s main brand.

This group started as Aceites y Jabones Luca de Tena in 1840, and it was considered the oldest olive oil Company in Spain. The name of this brand was taken from the Spanish Colony La Española island, where Hernando Columbus (Christopher Columbus’ son) started in the 16th century the exportations of olive oil produced at Hacienda Guzman in Seville. This factory is nowadays owned by La Española Oils

. La Española’s international projection and leadership was reinforced when it was included in the Leading Brands of Spain Forum in 2002. The steps to the consolidation of La Española brand in the most important markets have been constant. In 2004 it was settled in Asia, reaching a 10% of the market share. In 2010 la Española became even more visible as it was the sponsoring brand of the restaurant at the Spanish pavilion during the Expo in Shanghai. In 2011 the expansion through the North, South and interior of China was reinforced with the opening of new subsidiaries in strategic points of those areas. Finally, the international consolidation of la Española brand is so important that it is sold in more than 100 countries all over the world. The pillars to hold this success are: confidence in the good results of the R&D investments and consolidation in the international markets using different marketing strategies in each market that make our customers abroad associate La Española with olive oil and Spain.
