Donuts a Go Go
Has the Best Doughnuts in Merced and Mariposa County!
Do you know Patty is making keto muffins and bakes goodness... like yesterday she made White Chocolate BlackBerry Muffins with a Struessel topping!
Their cake doughnuts are the best! It's a lost art... I made doughnuts in my 20's and I know the difference between a mix you add water and a Baker. Patty is a Baker like me!
They are always Positive and I'm happy to call them my friends. Go get a Coffee and a muffin or donut and Support your local Gem!
Mariposa off Highway 140 in between the Sugar Pine Restaurant and Subway.
Pepsi or Coke Fountain instead of cans?
I like Pepsi but if I run out Coke i can buy anywhere
As soon as we get unpacked I'll show more picks of our new location. I'm excited it has a stage for music!
Well just about moved out just gotta clean up and done
Honestly it broke my heart to close. I was 400 pounds when I looked at the Bon Ton and I had to fix me and get it furnished, fixed and open. Took 2 years to get to 270 pounds and Open the Bon Ton Cafe.
I Opened August 16th, 2017, right after the Detweiler Fire. I survived many close fires, flooded roads that washed away and road closures that killed tourism and people to get to me.
Yes, I'm blessed to have a place to go to but it's tough to take a restaurant from Mariposa to Merced with little to no money and few helpers.
Trying to do what's right for landlords and myself. God is in control. Cause I'm burning on fumes.
Thank you! To All my Customers and friends. New Menu, New Place.... No more commuting and my family can help me now that I'm closer to home!
I closed in Mariposa Dec 31st. My sales were so low I couldn't pay my bills. I'm moving to a new location in Merced it's going to take some time but I Will post when and where when I'm ready... So if you haven't heard.
I won't say where yet. I have people who believe in my skills God gave me.
You ever pay attention to the center dinner table for a group over 6 to sit and enjoy being a family. I once had a family bring their Dad for his last dinner together before Hospice to pass away. I had families that would sit and enjoy being together. I had owners of Savory's and 1850 dine and enjoy being together at the table... I'm sure in the 3 years I was open there are many stories of good food, good times and some failures from my staff and I. But I gave my all here at my Table(s).
So I start moving out tomorrow... Not easy it took 2 years to get it Open After it was Closed for 14 years! But hey if anyone has the dream of taking over the Bon Ton message me and I'll give your information to the landlord.
I wasn't the only casualty in the sierras
Our Dear Bread Head Family,
We've been growing quickly and feeding our community for just one month shy of a year. It has been an incredible journey and we've made so many wonderful friends. Unfortunately, we've gone too long without enough operating capital and now that winter is upon us, we are no longer able to sustain without that cushion. So, it is with a very heavy heart, that we bid you a fond farewell. It's been such an amazing experience and we are very sad we will not be able to bring more awesome culinary experiences to our community. We appreciate all of you who have supported us and cheered us on. You will live forever in our hearts. May we all continue to rise & thrive in our own ways. Thank you so much for all your love. 💞

The Georgia Superstition That Will Give You Wealth, Luck, And Happiness In 2020
The one meal you must eat on New Year's Day.
My Last Day is the 31st not because I want to Close but because I haven't been able to pay my bills here and they are turning into debts.
* How do I commute from Merced daily spend $15 a day in gas and make $50 a day or $400 in a Week?! I'm burnt out commuting.
* 49 N road closures from floods, Road closed sign in town, Google road closed. Took a long time to Open and now no travelers taking that road and while my sales dropped others reaped on 49 S to Oakhurst the new destination spot.
* I tried to move into Mariposa in the heart of downtown. Health Dept said yes. Building dept said 1930s brick wall not sufficient for fire Wall needs updated. Okay, what if I use catering truck and building like Woody's does? Health dept okayed and Building red tagged spot that was okay for ice cream shop for 5 years... Soon after okayed for Mercantile.
* received a phone call cause I wanted to move into treat's spot town was boycotting me and my sales that barely paid Bills dropped to next to nothing.
* I have been cooking and washing my own dishes and 1 waitress and I haven't paid myself in a long time. I work too hard to struggle this bad. 5 star restaurant voted by customers.
* I've had Trolls attack my Facebook and my reviews. There's nothing that can be done to correct what they did by harassing my customers and I.
* I can't afford to pay rent and that's not fair to the landlords.
There's so much more but I'll stop right here.
I tried my Best! I WILL Go Out Giving my Best!
God ain't done with me yet! Stay posted on this Page see where he Sends me Next?!
Chef Big Will

Merry Christmas Everyone I'll see you the day after I'm CLOSED until Thursday!
7 Pecan Pies made today out the Oven and 2 Egg Nog pies coming out the Oven in a Few minutes
I Really didn't want to post that I'm Closing the Bon Ton.
Too many Factors have been happening back to back and in the end I'm not making enough to pay my Bills. I give up, Up here. There's literally no traffic driving by for hours since 49 N road washed out, Repaired and Closed for Many Months really has travellers using alternative roads.
If you want to eat at the Bon Ton with me as Your Chef Dec. 31st is last day because I Will Not Renew my License in Mariposa. Moving to town was my way to make money and save myself but Mariposa Spoke loudly when I was blocked at every turn but there is a business there now... I'm not mad I'm actually at Peace with this.
Thank You Bear Valley, Mariposa for Allowing me to Cook for You!
