If you ask me what my favorite restaurant in the world is, the answer is easy: Marlowe’s Ribs & Restaurant on Elvis Presley Boulevard, just down the road from Graceland.
I’ve been going there for decades, and it’s so much more than a restaurant to me. We’ve celebrated birthdays, milestones, and so many special occasions there. In many ways, I feel like I grew up there.
Our friends Tony and Missy have created something truly special. The food is incredible—from the appetizers to the entrées and desserts—and every meal has been consistently amazing.
The atmosphere is what makes it unforgettable. Elvis music fills the restaurant, Elvis movies play on the screens, and the walls are filled with incredible memorabilia. One of my favorite pieces is this photo hanging near the entrance featuring Elvis, Glen Campbell, and Richard. Richard even signed it, which makes it especially meaningful to me.
Every time I walk through those doors, I’m reminded of so many wonderful memories. I truly feel Richard’s spirit there, along with so many others that we have lost through the years. It’s a place that will always hold a special place in my heart.
If you’re visiting Graceland, do yourself a favor and stop by Marlowe’s. Even better, if you’re staying at The Guest House at Graceland, you can ride over in Marlowe’s famous pink Cadillac limousine shuttle. Whether you’re an Elvis fan or not, you’ll find amazing food, wonderful people, and an atmosphere you won’t forget.
Have you ever eaten at Marlowe’s? I’d love to hear what your favorite menu item is!
