Thank you to the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) for leading the Mentor-Mentee Program so thoughtfully and successfully. As a business owner guiding a full-time student, I appreciated how each meeting was structured to be flexible, self-guided, and genuinely enjoyable.

I am grateful to be given an opportunity to work with my mentee for the past seven weeks. I hope this program continues to remain an important professional service that NKBA offers to its members and student participants.

💫 KnB Joy Action Figure 💫

If they ever made an action figure of a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer… this would be mine! 🎯

Equipped with creativity 🎨, collaboration skills 🤝, a laser level 📏, and maybe a few too many finish samples tucked under one arm.

Every day feels like stepping into a new adventure — teaming up with architects, interior designers, and contractors to bring spaces to life . From the first sketch ✏️ to the final installation 🔨, it takes a dedicated team (and sometimes a bit of superhero stamina) to make it all come together seamlessly.

I love the process — the problem solving 💡, the details ✨, the craftsmanship 🪚. Whether it’s a sleek modern kitchen or a serene spa-inspired bath, my action figure motto would be: Design Fearlessly. Collaborate Generously. Create Beautifully.

So yes, I’m always ready for action — and ready to team up on your next project! 💪

🐾 A Helping Paw on the Job Site 🐾

Yesterday I had the best project assistant—my client's little Clyde! A scrappy little wire-haired Jack Russell with plenty of opinions! 🐶✨

While the countertops were being set, Clyde made sure:
✔ Everyone stayed on schedule
✔ Communication was loud & clear (lots of barks!)
✔ Any “ruff” discrepancies were handled with tail wags

Next up: glass template, plumbing, painting, and electrical punch-out. With Clyde keeping watch, I think we’ve got this one under control.

Every project is better with a four-legged friend by your side! 🐾

Elegance and Luxury, Cracked Wide Open 🥚

I’ve seen a lot of amazing things in the Kitchen & Bath world over the past 30 years. But this — this is a true first.

This faucet is made with a mosaic of upcycled eggshells (yes, eggshells!) from local bakeries. Designed by Nature Squared and crafted by Dornbracht Atelier, it’s a beautiful example of how far sustainable design has come. 🌱 🌿💧

Just goes to show — when you’ve got the right creative team, anything’s possible. 🎨
