This fundraiser is especially close to my heart. I grew up around Sarah, and seeing a family you know and care about go through a difficult time makes you want to help in any way you can.

Here is a message from the family about what has been going on and the journey ahead.
“Just three weeks ago, Sarah was living her normal life—making plans for the future, spending time doing what she loved, and looking forward to going back to school. She is only 25 years old, full of life, and has always had a vibrant personality that could light up any room she walked in.
It all began with what seemed like persistent headaches, something no one could have imagined would lead to such a devastating turn of events. Within a short time, her condition became critical, and she was life-flighted to Nashville, where she remains hospitalized. Since then, Sarah has undergone life-saving brain surgery and continues to fight every single day. While we are incredibly grateful she is still with us, her journey is far from over. She is currently living with a tracheostomy and feeding tube, and because of the severity of her brain injury and the life-saving surgery she underwent, she will likely have to relearn many everyday skills. With a portion of her right temporal lobe removed during surgery, she has lost movement on the left side of her body. The road ahead will be long and filled with challenges, but if anyone has the strength to keep fighting, it’s Sarah.
We are asking first and foremost for your prayers. We truly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you continue lifting Sarah, her medical team, and our family up during this time. If you feel led to give, any donation—no matter the size—will help ease the financial strain of medical expenses, rehabilitation, travel, and other unexpected costs as she begins her recovery.
