Well, this isn’t exactly the best start to our last unofficial summer weekend, is it?!

Well, Big Sandy Lake friends… they can’t all be the perfect Saturday, right? 🌧️

This cloudy (but wonderfully humid!) Saturday is giving us the ice cream blues. 😭🍦 We had some yummy new treats on board today, so we’re pretty bummed we won’t be out there passing out smiles and satisfying those sweet-tooth cravings!

I’ll be off the next couple of weeks because I get to go celebrate a 3rd birthday with one of my favorite grandbabies! 🥳💙
And honestly, I can’t think of a better reason to miss a few days on the lake.

We’ll be back on the water for Labor Day weekend — with new treats, new jokes, and… a whole lot of happy! 🍦☀️😊

But I promise, I’ve got a really good reason for taking the day off. We’ll be back next weekend, fully stocked with frosty treats and ready to chase down all your ice cream cravings.

Well…yesterday was a little bananas! 🍌

🍦We had an absolute blast and came way too close to the unthinkable…running out of ice cream!

A huge thank you to Derek for treating all the kiddos to ice cream in honor of your parents, Barb and Dean. Seeing all those smiling faces was the best part of the day, and so many families shared how much they appreciated your kindness. It made a great day even sweeter.

Today, Sandbar Sweets is officially closed for a very important reason: my family claimed me before you all could. 😉 So I’ll be spending the day making memories with them instead of cruising the lake.

Have an amazing Sunday! Be safe on the water, wave at strangers like you’ve known them forever (it’s Big Sandy, after all), and if you’re heading home after the holiday weekend, drive safe. We’ll be back serving up frozen happiness next weekend-with another special surprise!🍦🚤☀️

We hope you’re spending the day soaking up the sunshine, making memories, and celebrating with your favorite people!
We’re heading out on the lake with a little Fourth of July surprise! 🍦

One of our amazing lake friends, Derek, is honoring the memory of his parents, Barb and Dean Anderson, by treating the kiddos in boats to FREE ice cream today!

So when you see the pink-and-yellow ice cream boat cruising by, don’t be shy—wave us over! This sweet surprise will last for a couple of hours, or until Derek says we’ve created enough sticky fingers and happy smiles. 😄

A huge thank you to Derek for making the lake a little sweeter today.
