Hi, everyone! It’s been a while 🤍
Life has taken me in quite a few different directions since the cupcake days, and a lot has changed since I last shared my baking with all of you.
I went on to earn my nursing degree, and during that chapter of life, I also experienced some health challenges that ultimately led me to going gluten-free. Around that same time, my now-husband went gluten-free as well, and it became something we navigated and learned together. It made such a difference in how I felt, and somehow it’s already been about eight years—which is a little hard to believe!
Over those years, I found my way back to baking, but in a different way. I started making nourishing treats for our family and close friends, experimenting with gluten-free and vegan recipes and choosing primarily organic ingredients whenever I can. Somewhere in the process, I fell in love with baking all over again.
One of my favorite things is watching someone take a bite and then hearing, “Wait…this is gluten-free?!” Even better when they find out it’s often vegan and made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients, too.
And now, baking has become something our whole family gets to be a part of. My husband, our children, and I have come together to create Cay & Ridge Bakery. What started as baking for the people closest to us has grown into something we're excited to share with our community.
So, to those of you who were here all those years ago and supported my cupcakes—thank you. It feels a little like reconnecting with old friends as I share this next chapter with you.
I’d love for you to follow along as we begin something new: Cay & Ridge Bakery, our small family-run pop-up bakery in Madison, Wisconsin, centered around nourishing gluten-free baked goods, vegan options, and primarily organic ingredients.
Same love for baking, just a new chapter—and this time, I get to share it with my family 🤍
