KAIN NEB

KAIN NEB Filipino food in McCook, Nebraska. Baked fresh, sold Saturday mornings at the farmers market. Building toward a restaurant, one market at a time.

KAIN is Tagalog for "eat" — say it kah-EEN.

It has been a minute since our last post. Life has gotten a hold of us! Since you last heard about us there has been quite a bit happening on our end. We have talked to some local businesses in town about locations and had some options on food trucks. We toured a couple spaces and we are just in the deciding what to do next. We have attended the shows, markets and heritage days as customers and love seeing all the local vendors in our community. One thing is for sure, we aren’t done yet.

We will be back soon. In the meantime, if you see us around say hi!

We will not be at the farmer’s market tomorrow. We are going through some growth and need some time to get everything going again.

But all is not lost! We will be back at it the following weekend.

Thank you all!

HELP!

We are filling up our calendar for the rest of the year, what show and event would you like to see us at?

We don’t cook these meals or make the drinks because it’s what we think will sell.
Everything we put out in our booth is the same thing you will see on our home table, or even our desks (when life is a bit too busy to sit and have a family meal.)

The response we got this past 2 weeks have been overwhelmingly positive and I can’t wait to share more of my food and culture with you.

COMING SOON:
KAIN NEB’s entrees.

Breakfast:
Rice, tocino, longanisa, eggs.

Lunch&dinner:
Chicken Adobo, garlic fried rice, pancit, lumpia, turon.

Let me know if you what know any of the above are and if you would like to see something else on the menu. I know there’s some Lechon lovers out there, go ahead, say I need it.

Thank you and Kain na!

A quick recap of this past weekend.
A wonderful day at the McCook Farmers Market.
Lots of fun and animals at the McCook Critter swap.
Followed by a Labor Day full of exploration and restocking.

Thank you for trying out the food and giving us the chance to bring a little of my background to you!

Big things are happening and we will have updates soon. I can’t wait to share our *updated* menu.

Sometimes you just need some Filipino spaghetti, barbecue, and sides. I know it’s not fixed into a plate and Instagram worthy, but as soon as it hit the plate it was being consumed.

I can’t wait until we can bring Filipino entrees to you, McCook!
