You’ve seen the future distribution center.

While we’re dreaming…

Imagine an even larger distribution center and farm market.

And then… my favorite part of the property.

An event barn.

A place for weddings, farm dinners, live music, and community events.

None of these ideas exist on their own.

Together, they create a place where our community can gather around local food, local farms, and each other.

Yesterday I showed you the dream for our future coffee house.

Today, I wanted to show you the engine behind it all.

For the last six years, we’ve been quietly building an online farmers market that now delivers to more than 600 local families.

We’ve made it work with creativity, determination, and a lot of improvised solutions.

The exciting part? We’ve been awarded a grant to build what comes next.

The catch? You’ll have to wait until the next video. 👀

This old farmhouse has been sitting here for years, and I’ve always imagined what it could become. A coffee shop. A local grocery. A place to gather, slow down, and connect with the farms that grow your food.

Here’s a glimpse into the vision that’s been living in my head.

Earlier this week, I spent nearly eight hours with the FOX Business crew talking about egg prices.

On air, the answer was simple: There are too many eggs. Basic supply/demand.

But between the live shots, we talked about something much bigger.

The swing from shortage to surplus says a lot about our food system.

I wrote more about what I think egg prices are actually telling us, and why a food system built around thousands of independent farms may be far more resilient than one concentrated in the hands of a few large companies.

There has been a long line of startups trying to build an “online farmers market.” Some raised millions of dollars. Most didn’t make it.

I think AI may be changing the economics. It certainly is for us.

In this week’s blog post, I pull back the curtain on how we’re using AI to build entirely new workflows and systems that simply weren’t practical just a few years ago.

Maybe this has been one of the missing pieces all along.
