Our maca is grown traditionally and organically in the high mountains of Peru (above 14,000 feet). The roots are harvested at the peak of their potency and then carefully washed and sliced. The slices are then dried at low temperatures (less than 100 F (38 C), which preserves the important nutrients within them. Once dry the slices are ground into a powder for easy storage and use.
