THANK YOU Conrad for making Jupiter 88 the innovative lo-tech, high-gloss. elegantly psychedelic series that it is and thank you for featuring my poem
"Ric Flair!"

Dear Friends now and yet to come:
Please check this link to the book in which the poem dwells:

http://carolinawrenpress.org/books-and-merchandise/poetry/crowns-of-charlotte

CROWNS OF CHARLOTTE, written as a "radiating hometown ode" for Charlotte, NC is the second book in a larger arc of a multi-book project NC ODE, a sequel to IN THE LAURELS, CAUGHT (Fence Books). Starting with a transfigured hymn, the main body of the book is called "The Museum of the Alphabet" and contains poems replete with childhood and family stories, local portraits, politics and pop culture. The book is "crowned" with a double sonnet for Queen Charlotte I wrote after I found out she had some African ancestry.

Although it is available on Amazon, it would be so wonderful if you could buy a copy or two directly from the Carolina Wren Press website, as a vote to more directly support this press' on-going work. I was honored to be asked to judge last year's poetry prize, and the book I chose by L. Lamar Wilson, SACRILEGION, is simply amazing. Check it out if you haven't seen it already!

Lastly, if you teach or can suggest books to be bought for your library, please consider ordering or suggesting our books. Lastly, I would love to do READINGS/ WORKSHOPS in support of the book, so if you are interested in having me come (solo or possibly with Lamar!) to your area, please contact me at [email protected] or call me at 646.734.4157
