Over 18 years ago Jesse Johnson took a space in Mapleton that was bare and rotting and invested tons of hard work and money and created a quaint little space and named it the Caffeination Station. Nearly a decade later he sold it to Vanessa that kept it going with her own spin. 2 1/2 years ago I bought it and evolved it in to Mimi’s Cafe. Today it is no more. I am dismantling what is left. I’ve had customers stop in today to say one last farewell, give hugs, and reminisce. That I will miss. By tomorrow it will be nothing but a building.
Sad that weak people can’t build their own dream without destroying someone else’s. I kind of think that’s a poor foundation to build yourself on.
