As we continue developing the menu for La Boca Del Mar, we're opening the kitchen doors and inviting you along for the journey.

La Boca Del Mar is beginning the search for two individuals who may become part of our founding team for La Huerta de La Boca.

We are looking for experienced professionals with backgrounds in landscape design, horticulture, botany, arboriculture, greenhouse operations, agriculture, or related fields.

These individuals will help us evaluate potential properties, including soil conditions, drainage, floodplain considerations, irrigation needs, existing vegetation, and overall site feasibility, while helping shape the future of our gardens and growing spaces.

We are especially interested in connecting with people from the Manvel, Pearland, Alvin, Rosharon, and Iowa Colony areas who are passionate about creating something truly special for our community.

The response to La Boca Del Mar has been incredible.

Over the past few days, we've been overwhelmed by the likes, comments, shares, messages, and conversations from so many of our neighbors. What started as an idea has quickly become something much bigger.

It's become clear that we're not the only ones who believe our community deserves a place to gather, connect, relax, and enjoy great food and drinks without having to leave town.

So today, we're excited to share the next step.

Most Americans are used to ordering an appetizer, a giant entrée, and a to-go box.

Tapas are different.

In Spain, tapas are small plates designed for sharing. They aren't just food—they're a way of gathering. Instead of everyone staring at their own plate, dishes arrive throughout the evening. You taste a little of this, a little of that. Conversations linger. Another round of wine arrives. Someone says, "You've got to try this."

That's the experience we're bringing to Manvel.

Imagine a table filled with sizzling Gulf shrimp swimming in garlic and olive oil. Crispy Patatas Bravas with smoky paprika aioli. Bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese. Smoked quail pinchos. A few years ago, I found myself sitting at a small vineyard overlooking the Mediterranean.

There was no rush. No one was trying to turn tables. Friends gathered around bottles of wine, small plates were passed from hand to hand, and conversations stretched long into the evening. The food was incredible, but what stuck with me most was the feeling.

The hospitality.

The connection.

The simple joy of sharing a meal with people you enjoy being around.

Growing up in the country, I realized I had experienced that same feeling before.

It was Friday Night Lights.
