So! My aunt called and said Laicee! I want to hatch out your darkest eggs! I told her I dont have them separated out for purebreeds/projects, so they'd be 'Who's Your Daddy' barnyards and not those same colors. So, I brought a BUNCH of eggs in for her to look at and choose, because aunties get special treatment! 😄 🤣. I honestly havent put all my darkest together, and I was quite shocked! Remind you, this is indoor, but has no filter. Im s super impressed!

Whoooo! Gosh dang I'm excited! First group of the year for purebreeds went into the incubator last night!

1st breed... Garnets and Bronzes which are the only chicks I will guarantee being hens! They will be absolutely beautiful! A mix of heritage breeds known for hardiness, eggs, and a fun personality!

2nd breed....Rhode Island Reds! These babies are just beautiful!! I have 6 hens in my pen with a big boy roo! Super curious and great layers!

3rd breed... the infamous Easter Eggers! Also known as Americana - beautiful bearded hardy layers with colored eggs! You will get blue/green/creams/browns! Not to be confused with Ameracauna- which lay only blue eggs!

4th breed... the Olive Egger. These came out of my darkest greens and my darkest browns! I have 1st/2nd/3rd generation! With olive eggers, because of how the color genetics work, you can get browns!
