Yet we’ve also found unexplored territory within that tradition by playing with our g

rain blend and opting for the wilder side of fermentation. The first taste of that experimentation is our cornerstone single malt. Starting its life as a porter-style 100% malted barley mash, it’s further shaped by open-air fermentation before passing through our stills and maturing in charred virgin white oak. Boasting a complex profile with notes of coffee and chocolate, you won’t mistake it for its Scottish or Irish counterparts. It’s a uniquely American product, with an exceptional taste of place. For us, that place is our home in Buena Vista, Colorado: a historic adventure town at the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Built on the banks of the Arkansas River, its famed whitewater currents are the reason our east coast founders first moved west.
