This is a bittersweet moment to announce I have officially closed the bakery’s doors. While I will continue to finish my weddings through the fall, I will no longer have the storefront. Thank you to everyone that stopped by yesterday to get any last desserts, the love, messages, flowers, and support to not just me but Stormie, made the day a bit easier but the tears do not stop.
Anyone that knows me, comes into the bakery, or seen me on deliveries, knows my children are always with me. So that makes this the hardest part. My children grew up in here. They kick their shoes off when they walk in the door. The scribbles on the wall. Charlotte making her own register and helping customers. Cameron gathering ingredients and helping with recipes. Catherine stealing cupcakes out of the case. The chalk art out front.
And to Stormie, the most helpful person in my life. She is not only the most dedicated and best employee I have had, she has become part of my family. My forever friend and second mom to my children. Without her, the last four years would have never have happened so easily.
I don’t like what I do, I LOVE what I do. Thank you to everyone that has every bought a cake from us, allowed us to be a part of their wedding or any celebration, or come into the bakery to get that one dessert they can’t be without. It makes my heart full. I’m know this place will be missed.
