BLACK CHERRY! Ashby’s Black Cherry is a highly popular flavor from Ashby’s Sterling Ice Cream, known for its rich base packed with large, sweet black cherries. It is entirely egg-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free.

AND.... I've heard if you eat it standing up its only half the calories? Hmmm... maybe thats true, maybe it's not but I do know the ice cream tastes great either way!

Thurs. May 21st, we are open until 7 pm! We are open today so come get your scoops!

We have been told that sidewalks will be poured tomorrow on Mill Street. We are unsure the timing of this and if it will cause us to be closed for the day. If things go as planned, we will be open afterschool on Fri. 5/22. If not, we will let you know!

5/15/26- We are open from now until 7 pm! You can park in back of Kundert's Main Street Market and come in our normal The Viking Scoop entrance. They poured curb/gutter yesterday and at this time we've been told the sidewalk will potentially get done next week.

5/13/2026 - Update!

At this time we plan to be open on Thurs 5/14 at The Viking Scoop at our normal scheduled time of 3:30 p.m. If that needs to change due to the curb/gutter going in, we will update you as soon as we know. Please see construction update below.

All intersections to cross Main Street are currently open at the time of this post. If you see black mats on sidewalks down Main Street you are able to walk on those. Curb and gutter will be put in tomorrow and Friday.

We have been told that the sidewalk on Mill Street (the street between Ederer's and us) is scheduled to be put in next week. When we get updates, we will give them to you.

Please note: The sanitary sewer crew to started working to the north along STH 78 earlier this week. The detour that is in place is to route people to CTH F (think of the new road that was just built, just off Hwy 78 that connects to Mound Street), to Mound Street, to Hill Street and then back to Hwy 78 to cross the bridge.
