BlackMane Coffee Roasters are a small batch coffee roasting company that specializes in roasting coffee “to-order” then delivering to your home or business on a routine basis. This coffee subscription system provides our customers with fresh roasted coffee delivered to your door without all the supermarket, coffee aisle, hassle.

Roast Day yo! So this is what it's like to roast during the day I could get use to this. One of my customers asked me the other day, "how do you like your coffee"? 2 shots of my Malabar Monkey Espresso over ice is the bomb! Paired with blueberries, oh my! Just had a wonderful text conversation regarding coffee. Someone requested some BlackMane coffee but they had an unusual request, "they wanted coffee that had the most caffeine in it". It's a legitimate question but I couldn't answer it honestly because coffee isn't graded by caffeine levels and I truly didn't know how much caffeine was in all my different coffees. Here's what I do know about caffeine and coffee.

- The lighter the roast the more the caffeine remains in the bean. The darker the roast the more caffeine is cooked out of the bean. So light roast, more caffeine.

- Robusta coffee generally contains TWICE the amount of caffeine as Arabica coffee. Robusta is considered the ugly-step sister to the pretty Cinderella Arabica in the coffee universe but I guess the one thing it has over Arabica is the amount of caffeine :P.

Bottom line, enjoy coffee for it's unique flavors the caffeine is just an added bonus.
