The Sunday Question #01

What's one meal you could eat every single week and never get tired of?

Not necessarily the fanciest thing you make or even your best recipe. We're talking about that meal you always look forward to, the one you never seem to tire of, and the one you'd happily eat again tomorrow.

Maybe it's a Sunday roast, a big bowl of pasta, your grandmother's chicken and dumplings, something everybody at your table is happy to eat.

We have a feeling everyone's answer will be a little different, and we can't wait to hear them!

A little kitchen magic is brewing, and you're invited!

Join Those 2 Girls for THE KITCHEN WITCH, our October workshop, for an evening of food, folklore, and creativity.

We'll turn everyday fruits, herbs, and seasonal ingredients into four useful and delicious kitchen “potions,” exploring the fascinating folklore behind each one. You'll take all four creations home, along with your own piece of hammered botanical art!

And, of course, we'll have delicious seasonal refreshments to enjoy along the way. Gather a friend or come solo (and make new friends!) and join us for an evening of hands-on creativity in the beautiful setting of the historic Norcross Center Carriage House!

A little magic is brewing, and you're invited!

VIP registration is now open to our Facebook group for our October workshop, The Kitchen Witch, and you have the opportunity to reserve your spot before registration opens to the public.

Join us in a beautiful new setting, the historic Carriage House at Norcross Center in East Longmeadow, as we celebrate the season of the witch!
We'll have fun creating 4 useful and delicious kitchen "potions" using fruits, herbs, and seasonal ingredients, while exploring the fascinating folklore and magical properties associated with each. You'll take home all 4 of your creations, plus learn the magical art of making your own hammered botanical postcards.

Of course, no Those 2 Girls gathering would be complete without delicious seasonal refreshments and plenty of time to mingle!

FROM MOOD BOARD TO REALITY

Our host envisioned a Bridal Tea Party with touches of pink, a little Bridgerton romance, and vintage details that felt nostalgic, feminine, and beautifully collected.
We took those ideas and brought them to life through layers of soft color, vintage silver, delicate florals, pretty china, candlelight, and all the little details that make a gathering feel truly special.

The result? A tea party that felt romantic, timeless, and completely her own.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN For our Americana Workshop!

Join Julia Mitchell & Martha Thomas Waugaman of Those 2 Girls on September 29th, for our Americana Workshop, a special hands-on evening exploring the food, crafts, and traditions of early America.

Set in the historic charm of The Carriage House at Norcross House in East Longmeadow, this workshop is an evening of making, learning, and enjoying a few time-honored traditions.

Dip Beeswax Candles
Create your own beeswax candles and take them home with you.
Make Sally Lunn Bread (Similar to Brioche)
Learn about this beloved early American bread with Virginia roots and prepare your own loaf to take home to bake.
Craft Fresh Butter
Experience the simple satisfaction of making butter from scratch and take your fresh butter home to enjoy.

Each guest will leave with their own handmade candles, Sally Lunn bread, and fresh butter. Plus new skills and a memorable evening spent in a truly special setting. Delicious Colonial inspired refreshments will be served.

Some people leave behind a legacy. Dolly Parton leaves behind a little bit of light.
🤍
For Martha & Julia, Dolly has always held a very special place in our hearts. There was something about her that felt bigger than music, movies, or even the extraordinary career she built. She had a way of making people feel seen.

She was wildly talented, fiercely hardworking, endlessly generous, genuinely funny, and somehow managed to be both larger than life and completely down to earth.

We loved her ability to laugh at herself. Her loyalty to where she came from. Her love of family and tradition. Her determination to open doors for other people. Her belief that success meant more when you used it to do some good.

And yes, we loved the hair. The rhinestones. The perfectly painted nails. The bigger-than-life personality.

But underneath all of it was a woman with an enormous heart.
Dolly reminded us that you never have to choose between being ambitious and being kind. That you can dream big and still remember where you came from. That generosity is a beautiful way to move through the world.

Those are the parts of Dolly we will carry with us, not as a lesson in how to be more like her, but as a reminder of the kind of people we hope to be.

And knowing Martha & Julia, there will probably always be a little extra butter, a little more sparkle, and absolutely no shortage of Dolly stories at our table.

Thank you, Dolly. For the songs, the laughter, the kindness, and the light.
