✨️ Portuguese Chocolate Croissant

When I started selling pastries, I knew I wanted to include something from my heritage. We are fortunate to have such a rich Portuguese history in our area and I feel honored to be apart of it!

After visiting The Azores and trying just about every bakery, a traditional Portuguese Croissant was one item that stood out to me even years ago. So of course I had to create a chocolate version (and an almond!)

This croissant differs from the French and is similar to a sweet bread dough. Filled with quality chocolate and brushed with butter. Don't skip an opportunity to try it warm! You won't regret it.

Find them at Buttercup Coffee in Ferndale. Sit down, enjoy a coffee and maybe even chat with a fellow Portuguese local! ☕️ 🇵🇹 🥐

You might have noticed there is no Father's Day Menu this year.. I wanted to offer something creative for the special dads in your life but I have just been trying to keep up with my daily baking! I apologize!

On that note, y'all have been crazy about the scones at Buttercup! 🤪 I'm dropping as much as I can daily! Current flavors are Lemon Blueberry, Cranberry Orange, Raspberry Almond, and the new favorite, Cheddar and Chive! Thank you for all the support.

I know you are all used to eating something sweet from Baking in Boots but you might want to make an exception for this Cheddar and Chive Scone!

Made with fresh chives, sharp cheddar, and a pinch of sea salt! This one will have you coming back again and again.

And may I suggest pairing it with a cold brew?
