Today, after running all the way out to the Home Depot and Best Buy in Greensburg and Aldi's in Latrobe, I finally made it home around 3:30. I unloaded new shrubs and lumber from the car grab some lunch and headed back out to the yard to get some work done. I finished redoing the sunflower garden ornament and got a little bit more work done on the fence I'm rebuilding. What a beautiful evening we're having.

Spring has sprung and so has my energy! This sunshine gets me outdoors and moving. I'm in the middle of several projects, rebuilding a section of my fence in my backyard, I did complete painting my garage doors and I'm making shutters for the front windows of the house.

Besides that, I had fun creating a hummingbird cake and an Easter game using puzzle pieces that were hidden throughout the yard. But the past couple of days I've been painting garden ornaments that have become weathered through the years. It feels so good to be outside and doing something fun. Here's a few pics of what I have been up to.

What have you created lately? It could have been coloring or coloring book page or making a nice dinner or knitting a sweater or planting seeds in the garden. There's all types of creativity. Maybe you wrote a poem?

Do you like to do hand stitching? It's calming and therapeutic and so rewarding. Check this out. It took her a couple of years to finish. That was 2 years of special moments with each stitch. True inspiration!

Christmas time is so busy for all of us. I didn't post everything I was creating during the Christmas season of 2025. Finally, I'm taking a few moments.

Did you bake Christmas sugar cookie cutouts? I managed to get the dough made and into a sealed container in the fridge. That was 3 weeks before Christmas! The dough has patiently been waiting for me.

Today, with my Grandma Horsley's Spirit beside me, I baked a batch of her sugar cookie cutouts. I couldn't wait for them to cool so I could try them. It takes me right back to when I was a little girl and would sneak down her basement stairs, open up a cookie tin and enjoy that wonderful flavor. Thank you Gram! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The photos are of the cookies I baked today, and me with Gram and my Aunt Sandy. It was Christmas time 1973.

And .. for our garden clubs Christmas luncheon, our craft team made gingerbread houses, A-frame style. One will go on each table where people are eating and will become a prize for one lucky person per table.

For our garden club's Christmas party, which has a gingerbread theme, I created these giant cardboard figures using clothesline and hot glue.

Creating Seed Paper

For the Weeders and Seeders Garden Club 2025 Christmas Luncheon, our theme is Gingerbread. I had the idea to make seed paper cut out to look like gingerbread men as part of our favors we'll have it the tables.

It has been a crazy busy year and I know many of you are in the same boat. So many events and so many craft activities and so many committees! And of course a zillion hours in the gardens. My favorite place.
