🦋✨A little space for those who still live in our hearts.
Our Community Ofrenda is returning to Mugs & Magick this October & November as we honor Día de los Mu***os and the loved ones who have passed before us. 🕯️🌼
We invite you to add their name(s) to a butterfly and place it on or around our ofrenda.
In many traditions, butterflies are seen as symbols of transformation, the soul, and the journey between worlds.
Each butterfly carries a name.
Each name carries a story.
And each story deserves to be remembered. 🧡

Bring the name of someone you love. Write it down. Leave it among the flowers, candles, and offerings. Let their memory take flight alongside all the others in our community.
Because death may change the way we hold someone, but it never takes away the love. 🦋

🕯️Our Community Ofrenda will be available throughout October & November here at Mugs & Magick.

Hello lovelies! Due to a family emergency and last minute staffing changes, we are adjusting our business hours slightly for this week. Today (Monday) we will close at 6pm.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will be CLOSED.
Wednesday 6:30am-6pm.
Thursday 6:30am-2:30pm.
Friday 12pm-7pm.
Saturday and Sunday we will open 8am-5pm as usual.

Seeing as we’re forecasted with more rainy weather over the next few days, I thought this was a good time to discuss Rain Magick🌧️.
Have you ever stopped to just listen to the rain?

Rain has a beautiful place in magick — often associated with cleansing, renewal, emotional release, growth, and new beginnings.

The next time the skies open up, take a moment to work ~with~ the rain instead of simply waiting for it to pass.

Collect a little rainwater. Sit by a window and reflect. Let the sound of the rain help you release something you’ve been carrying. Set an intention for something you’d like to nurture and grow.

You don’t need elaborate tools or a complicated ritual.

Sometimes, the most powerful magick is simply pausing long enough to notice what nature is already offering us. 🌧️

The Full Moon in Pisces arrives alongside a powerful partial lunar eclipse on August 27–28.
Astrologically, this eclipse carries themes of intuition, emotional release, closure, surrender, and making space for something new. At the same time, the Sun and Mercury meeting in Virgo invites clarity and discernment.
So rather than asking, “What should I manifest?”
Maybe ask yourself:
“What am I ready to release?”
The habit.
The expectation.
The old story.
The fear.
The version of yourself that no longer fits.

You don’t have to know exactly what’s coming next.
Sometimes the first step is simply making room.

• edit to side note: we just noticed (9/4) fb & ig started labeling our most recent posts as “A.I. Content” when that wasn’t even used. Did some digging.. turns out since we used Canva to make the photos, its picking up on “metadata” in the program files. How frustrating, especially cos I spent a lot of time typing out and organizing and creating the posts. I figured out how to work around it, but that’s just more time and unnecessary steps. 🙃•

🕯️Light After the Storm ⛈️

Our community has been through a lot this past week with the tornado and derecho storm. While some of us have had our power and routines restored, many of our neighbors are still waiting for that light to return.

So we wanted to create a little space for ~hope, comfort, protection, and community.~

Our new ~Light After the Storm~ altar is here for anyone who needs it.

💛Take a Hope— choose a little blessing to carry with you.

🕯️Leave a Light— write a message of hope, encouragement, or support for someone in our community.

You don’t have to believe in magic to participate. Sometimes a little reminder that ~we are not alone~ is magic enough.

For everyone still cleaning up, rebuilding, waiting, worrying, or simply trying to find their footing again:

May you be supported.
May the light find its way back to you.
