🐓🍂 Well, Well, Well… It's Been a CRAZY Busy Week Here at Halfmoon Family Homestead! 🐑🐇❤️
Whewww!! We've all been busy as can be, getting everything ready for the colder months ahead! ❄️🍁
Winter prep is in FULL swing around here!
🐓 Chicken Coops: Getting everything winterized, switching out water containers, and starting to mix up our winter feed.
🦚 Pheasants: We'll be adding brush to their run, raking everything up, and possibly putting tarps along the sides to help block that cold winter wind.
🐣 Quail: Still need to get straw and make sure our little feathered friends are cozy for winter!
🐑 Sheep: They'll be getting an addition to their shelter to give them some extra room and protection from the weather.
🐇 Bunnies: New bunny houses will be getting built soon! Gotta make sure those fluffy little cuties have cozy homes, too!
❤️ Homesteading is NEVER-ENDING!
Just when you think you're getting caught up, you turn around and find 10 more things that need doing! 🤣
But you know what? We wouldn't trade this crazy, muddy, exhausting, beautiful life for anything! There's always something to build, fix, feed, clean, or prepare.
It's a whole lot of work, but it's a whole lot of LOVE, too! 🌻🐓
Where the chores never end, the animals come first, and there's always another project waiting! ♡

Whew... we've been SO busy this week!
Josh n' Jen and the girls are on vacation, so we're babysitting the fur babies while they're gone. 🐾❤️
We also want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Jodi, Bill & Angie for helping around the homestead this week. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️
🍂 Winter is coming, and we're working hard getting the homestead ready. We're still building coops, getting all the animals settled, and making sure everyone will be warm and cozy when the cold weather arrives. 🐓🐇🦆
On top of everyday life here, we're still working on our other house so we can get it finished and SOLD! 🏡 It's definitely a lot trying to keep up with the homestead, daily life, AND another house... but little by little, we're getting there!
We also had a family emergency in Ohio, so everything got put on hold for about a week. Thankfully, everyone is fine. ❤️🙏
🥚 EGG UPDATE 🥚
We are SOLD OUT of fresh chicken eggs for a few days while we let our supply build back up.
BUT... we DO have fresh quail eggs available! 🐣🥚
It's busy. It's exhausting. It's sometimes a little chaotic... but it's our life, and we wouldn't trade our little homestead adventures for anything. ❤️
