Some dreams do not arrive loudly.
Sometimes they begin as a quiet thought that stays with you for years… a feeling you cannot shake, a vision you keep returning to, even when life gets busy, hard, uncertain, or heavy.
Gather & Glow has lived in my heart for a long time.
It has been something I talked about for years, something I planned over, prayed over, cried over, and lost sleep over. There were nights I stayed awake thinking through every detail, wondering if I could really turn something so personal into something real. There were moments I doubted myself, moments I felt discouraged, and moments where I questioned if this dream was too big for me. But no matter how many times life became overwhelming, this dream kept finding its way back to my heart.
And I think that is because the meaning behind it runs so much deeper than just food.
One of the most cherished memories from my childhood was what my mom called “finger food nights.”
She was a single mom raising my sister and me, and every now and then dinner would be simple — meats, cheeses, veggies, dips, little things laid out in a way that somehow made an ordinary night feel special. As kids, we thought it was exciting. It felt different, fun, almost like a little event in our own home.
Looking back now as an adult, I understand what I didn’t then.
What felt simple to us was actually love in one of its purest forms — a mother doing her very best to create joy, comfort, and togetherness, even during seasons when she may have been carrying struggles we were too young to fully see.
She made hard times still feel warm.
And without realizing it, those nights planted something in me.
As life went on, I found myself bringing that same feeling into family gatherings, holidays, and special moments with my nieces — laying out boards, adding little touches, wanting people to gather, snack, laugh, stay a little longer, and enjoy being together. What started as something small slowly became something I poured more creativity into, more heart into, more intention into.
Then came The Goat Board — and because of the support, encouragement, and belief from so many friends and family, that little piece of creativity became something people truly loved.
And now… it has grown into Gather & Glow.
This is more than a rebrand. This is growth. This is faith. This is years of dreaming finally stepping into the light.
We are no longer just charcuterie. Gather & Glow is becoming an experience — from custom boards to our mobile event cart, offering high-protein energy drinks, loaded mini protein pancakes, and grazing options designed to bring people together in new ways.
But at the center of all of it is still the same thing that started years ago around a simple table:
Connection. Comfort. Gathering. Creating moments people remember.
To every person who has supported me, ordered from me, shared my work, encouraged me, checked in on my ideas, spoke life into me when I doubted myself, and believed in me before I fully believed in myself — thank you. You have no idea how much of this story belongs to you too.
There were seasons I truly thought I was falling behind. Seasons where I questioned everything. Seasons where I felt like maybe I was failing.
But now I can look back and see that even in those moments, God was still working — still preparing, still shaping, still opening doors I could not yet see.
And today, I am just incredibly grateful to stand here and say: this dream is real.
