Why I Use Fresh Fruit in My Lemonades 🍓🍋

09/14/2026

What helps me most is making every drink in the same order, keeping my ingredients in the same place every time, finishing one stage before jumping around, and prepping as much as possible before the first customer ever walks up.

Premixing every flavor would probably be faster… but for the way I run my stand, making each flavored lemonade to order gives me way more flexibility.

After making hundreds of lemonades, I realized the drink itself is not the hard part, the system is.

Keeping my most-used ingredients close, prepping as much as possible before opening, and following the same order every time has made a huge difference when things get busy.

Pretty drinks are nice. A system that keeps you from losing your mind during a rush is better. 😂🍋

Y’all have been asking, so here it is 😂 This is exactly how I build my 32oz flavored lemonades — fresh lemon, sugar, syrup, ice, and a whole lotta shaking.

Every flavor is a little different, so I adjust the lemon and syrup depending on what I’m making. And yes… I really do use that much sugar 😭

My favorite little trick is shaking long enough to ask the customer a couple questions. By the time we’re done talking, the drink is mixed and they got my full attention too.

People see the finished drink, but for me the work starts before I ever serve the first customer.

Cleaning, sanitizing, prepping fresh fruit, separating supplies, organizing paperwork, loading the car, setting up the tent and tables — all of that happens before the lemonade ever hits the cup.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is this: organize before you load, so setup is smooth and you’re ready for your first customer before they’re ready for you.

Parents raising girls, we have to stay on them—not to shame their bodies or dim their confidence, but to keep the world from rushing them into looking and acting grown before they’re ready.

Being pretty, developed or mature-looking does not make a child old enough to make grown-woman decisions. We cannot be afraid to say, “No ma’am—go change.” Our job is to guide them, even when they don’t like it.

Let our girls be stylish. Let them be confident. But let them be children: age appropriate, protected and actively parented.

Date night in Nashville 🍗🥂 We came for good food and somehow ended up getting dinner AND a show 😂 This was definitely one of those nights where you just eat, laugh and enjoy yourself.

She said, “Mommy, come hide from the sun with me.” 🥹😂

And as you can see it was only enough room for her to hide from anything 😆 So I sat right there in the sun while she got comfortable in her little shade spot.

But when i was sitting there watching her, I had one of those random mom moments where I realized, this is it.

This is the stuff ima miss.

Not a vacation. Not some perfect planned day. Just us at the park. Her asking me to squeeze into a space I clearly can’t fit in, talking to me about whatever is important in her little world right then, and just fully expecting me to be right there beside her.

One day shes not going to ask me to come hide from the sun with her.

She’s not always going to reach for my hand, yell “Mommy nook!” every five seconds, or think spending a few hours at the park with me is the best thing ever.

And sometimes motherhood is so busy that I forget i’m living the memories while they’re happening ☺️ so today I sat in the sun.
She sat in the shade. 😂
And we spent some time together.

Nothing extravagant. Just one of those days i hope i remember forever! 😊🫶🏾
