"Skip the coffee chain and head for Grape Juice, a gem of a restaurant off the city’s main street, which is currently being redeveloped. It has a wine store, a large bar with about 20 beers on tap (including a rotation of local brews), and a restaurant, where you can eat antelope sliders or quail tacos. Before Grape Juice
was a full restaurant, it was a little w**e shop.
Grape Juice opened in Ingram in 2007
with w**e by the bottle, glass & case.
In 2009, it moved to 623 Water Street in Kerrville.
Food started small
A chalkboard menu
Things to snack on while you drank w**e
Eventually the kitchen that became a much bigger part of what Grape Juice is.
But The Social Side of Grape Juice never really went away.
That’s what this little menu is about
The Social Menu is a callback to that
old-school Grape Juice.
grab a seat in the lounge
order a couple things to snack on,
drink a bottle of w**e, have a pint,
and hang out for a while.
This menu is just for our Social Section

including a new generation of ownership

We’re Online
Nathan & I (aka Nathan) have been working on getting our online takeout & reservation systems up and running for a couple months now.
For, well for forever we’ve been a pen & pad, over-the-phone type of operation.

But it is 2026.

And w/ how busy my own life can get with teenagers, small businesses, community, all of it… convenience normally ends up pretty high on the list of priorities.

Sometimes when it’s convenient for me 2 make a rezo (1am🫠) is after a business is already closed for the day.
Sometimes getting a 2go order placed during the last 5mins of a soccer game or from a car full of kids isn’t a phone call appropriate environment.

So we’ve changed that.

You can still place togo orders & make rezo’s via phone, but now we’ve added an extra tool to help you get Brussels Sprouts & Boom Boom Burgers as conveniently as possible.

Back in July I made a post about my economic concerns for our lil corner of Texas.
Not just Grape Juice, but all the little guys that make this place what it is.
My friends be laughing at me cuz every time I serendipitously just post my earnest thoughts on socials, I end up on the news🫠
But full transparency, that’s not who I am or why I do what I do. I’m kind of a dummy.
I own a restaurant after all 🙃
So I’m really glad to see some local organizations putting some real weight behind that same idea with the campaign.
Because it really is pretty simple.
The things that make this place special isn’t just the restaurants, bars, taco shops, w**eries, contractors, ranches, auto shops, landscapers, coffee shops, boutiques and all the other small businesses that exist.
It’s the homies who live and breathe life into those businesses.
So when you can, spend with your neighbors.
Not just with us. With all the little guys that make this place worth calling home. The homies behind the counter, in the kitchen, under the hood, behind the bar, on the jobsite and everywhere in between.
