The Bookstore Cafe is closed today, July 7th, due to a power outage in the Oakwood-Winchell neighborhoods. The other cafes are open as usual if you need coffee, bagels, or a spot to charge your phone.

So long as power is restored, we’ll re-open on Wednesday. Come visit us elsewhere in the meantime.

The parking lot at the Bookstore Cafe is being re-paved this week. Don’t be discouraged: we’re still open and eager to serve you.

Entrances on Whites Road will remain open throughout the construction—be aware that there’s no through traffic to Westnedge, though. We encourage patrons to use the Plaza’s lower lot as the re-paving moves to the front lot next week: we’re right at the top of the staircase by Little Chick Shoe Shop. See you soon!

Everyone deserves good coffee: from our friends & regulars, to community members, to the Governor of our state.

We were lucky enough to host an affordability roundtable with last week at our Frank Street Cafe—with special guest . We’re excited for the opportunity to support our longtime Factory Friend , and honored that the Governor visited our humble little coffee shop.

Many thanks to everyone who came out to support the McCann campaign, and to discuss affordability in Kalamazoo. We’re lucky to live here with you.
