Folks, you gotta remember that plastic is NOT compostable.. I’m talking to you, Kona!
✨
This precious concentrated final product of thousands of hours of loving care has been tainted by the negligence of just a few people. We accept that mistakes happen, so we’re using this opportunity to point out the paramount importance of being mindful of what goes in your bucket.
✨
Every composter around the globe, whether at home, commercial, or industrial in scale is faced with the challenge of dealing with contaminants. It’s really our own individual duty and obligation to change our behavior surrounding “throwing things away” because in this case “away” is at some point yours, mine, and our neighbors’ gardens!
✨
We are deeply grateful for the support and participation of all of our members, and kindly remind everyone to be mindful about removing plastic fruit stickers, tags, rubber bands, and other inorganic materials from their compost buckets. We are building this system together from scratch, so we all must play our roles well!
✨
On our website you can find a full list of what can and cannot be added to your bucket under the Resources tab. And feel free to reach out to us any time with questions!
