October 1st starts the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness month. This month brings a lot of emotions for a lot of women in our community. Let me share some facts with you:
-One in EIGHT women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime
-In 2024 approximately 310,720 women and 2,800 men were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer
-15% of women that are diagnosed have a family member who was diagnosed as well
-Start annual Mammograms at 40 (if mom or sister is diagnosed, start at 30)

We have the privilege of serving NEA Baptist hospital once a month- we donate a portion to the “Together For Her” foundation!

🥳In the 2026 year, we have been able to raise over $800 for the “Together For Her” foundation at NEA!!🥳
